The Way of the Carrot: A Layperson's Guide to Finding Peace by Roger Ballard
Naomi incorporates the latest developments in the fields of mindfulness, meditation, positive psychology and neurobiology of change into her practice with great success. Since 1997 she has integrated her own meditation practice into her work. In collaboration with her meditation teacher (Roger Ballard) Naomi established an ongoing Mindfulness Workshop series in 2006.
'The Way of the Carrot', written by Roger Ballard, is used as a key resource in the Mindfulness Workshops.
ASSESSMENT TOOLS
These surveys and assessments are often used as diagnose tools to measure personality types, cultures and leadership types. Bickley Consulting uses them in their coaching and corporate workshops.
The Leadership Circle:
LEADERSHIP CIRCLE PROFILE
The LCP takes 3600 assessments to another level, giving the participant a rich and deep insight into his leadership effectiveness:
“It reveals the relationship between patterns of action and internal assumptions that drive behaviour. Ultimately, LCP goes to the source of behaviour to get greater leverage on change.”
Most 3600 assessments limit the number of evaluators to 5 or 6 people. The LCP invites as many people as possible, drawn from a variety of stakeholders.
LEADERSHIP CULTURE SURVEY
The Leadership Culture Survey measures how an organisation's employees view their current leadership culture and compare it to the culture they desire. It also identifies the "gap" between the current culture and desired culture to show opportunities for development.
The survey also compares an organisation's culture to other organisations.
Hogan Personality Assessments
Hogan suite of personality assessments have been developed by Drs Joyce & Robert Hogan and is based on over 30 years of research and experience that demonstrates that personality predicts workplace performance.
THE HOGAN PERSONALITY INVENTORY (HPI)
HPI describes normal, or bright-side personality – qualities that describe how we relate to others when we are at our best. Whether the goal is to find the right hire or develop stronger leaders, assessing normal personality gives valuable insight into how people work, how they lead, and how successful they will be.
Applications: Useful for career planning and development; recruitment & selection
THE HOGAN DEVELOPMENT SURVEY (HDS)
HDS describes the dark side of personality – qualities that emerge when an individual’s guard is down, for instance, when complacent or bored, or under stress and pressure. These qualities can disrupt relationships, damage reputations, and derail peoples’ chances of success. By assessing dark-side personality characteristics, you can recognise and mitigate performance risks before they become a problem.
Applications: Useful for personal development; team development; selection and career-planning
THE MOTIVES, VALUES, AND PREFERENCES INVENTORY (MVPI)
MVPI describes the core values, goals, drivers, and interests that determine what we strive to attain. Assessing an individual’s values can give insight into what motivates candidates to succeed, and in what type of position, job, and environment they will be most productive.
Applications: Useful for culture-fit; team development & career planning
Myer Briggs Type Indicator
The MBTI is a personality assessment that is used by many organisations, teams and individuals world-wide as it provides practical, science-based insights into improving how people communicate, learn, problem-solve, and work.
Lencioni's Five Dysfunctions of a Team
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team is a model which summarises the cause of dysfunction and often politics in teams, with ways to conquer them.
